Lynn took a creative writing class in the fall of 1985. Here is my favorite essay he wrote. It gives a look into his grandpa's life, John Gilbert Barratt, as well Lynn's love for Pop and his own grandson, Jeremy.

Lots of Keys!
What a very special piece of family history this is! Lynn and his great grandmother, Agnes Caldwell Hamilton doing service together. A moment in time captured!
La Ree's Scrapbooks
Grandma Fraser kept hundreds of sports newspaper clippings that she saved in scrapbooks. This is just an example of a few of those pages in those scrapbooks. These pages happen to all contain something about her son (my dad), but these were few in number compared to the total volume. She collected any sports article from the various colleges and universities in the state, the high schools and of the youth who weren't even her family. I sense her connection, love, and loyalty to her community and state. And it's pretty obvious - she loved following sports!
