Elwood's Death Certificate

When I learned about Elwood many years ago, I was so saddened by the loss of him to his parents.  He was only 5 months old, which is such a cute age for a little one.
I think of my great grandma, Clara, caring for her child and trying to comfort him, who was suffering from measles and pneumonia for 10 days, knowing there was not much she could do to help him.

Ethel's Social Security Death Index

Talented Lady!

Grandma Fraser was the most talented lady I know.  She could do anything creative - cake decorating, quilting and sewing, crafts, crochet, knitting, and more!
As I enjoy doing some of this same things, I'm grateful for her example and inspiration.
These are a few of the items she has made for me.

It's a Job

I only knew of my dad working for Kennecott all the time I was growing up.  It looks like he got a job in a car shop one month before I was born.

Lynn's Obituary

Lynn and Baseball

Lynn enjoyed all sports, but was especially good at baseball, usually playing short stop, and sometimes first base. Even after he was married, he still played baseball, on a semi-professional team in Salt Lake City.  He was invited to try out for the Baltimore Orioles. They offered him a position on the team, but he turned it down, knowing it wouldn't be the kind of life for a man beginning a family.
