When I learned about Elwood many years ago, I was so saddened by the loss of him to his parents. He was only 5 months old, which is such a cute age for a little one.
I think of my great grandma, Clara, caring for her child and trying to comfort him, who was suffering from measles and pneumonia for 10 days, knowing there was not much she could do to help him.
